LUKEVISION- Celebrating 23 years of building Community Vision, we now have links to Visions or Strategic Plans for over 50 communities or regions on our web site, including the communities below. Visit at http://www.lukevision.com/communities.htm WICHITA, KANSAS-On March 13, 2006, Visioneering Wichita celebrated their first year of implementation. More than 350 Vision Partners have signed up to implement the Vision. This is one partner for each 1,650 residents. For the web site click here POLK COUNTY, FLORIDA-On February 27, 2006, Polk Vision had their first annual implementation meeting. For a copy of the annual report, click here and go to IIIF at the bottom of the page. The report includes comments from the Vision Co-chairs, School Superintendent, County Manager, United Way Executive and other volunteers. Polk Vision has signed up 345 Vision Partners to help implement strategies. This is one Vision Partner for each 1,500 residents. Click here for the Vision web site. LUFKIN/ANGELINA COUNTY, TEXAS-In March 2006, “Angelina County Vision 2020” was completed. Implementation began immediately and they already have over eighty Vision Partners signed up for implementation. They have one Vision Partner for each 1,000 residents. For the Vision plan click here RUTHERFORD COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA-The Forest City Micropolitan Statistical Area (including all of Rutherford County) was tied for 14th in Site Selection Magazine’s 2005 annual ranking of new facilities for small communities. There are over 600 micropolitan counties in the US. Congratulations Vision Partners and EDC Executive, Jim Lancaster, for this accomplishment. For Realize Rutherford click here LAKELAND, FLORIDA- Metro Lakeland Vision celebrated their eighth year of implementation on March 20, 2006. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA-The Pottsville Micropolitan Statistical Area (including all of Schuylkill County) was tied for 36th in Site Selection Magazine’s 2005 annual ranking of new facilities. Congratulations to all Vision Partners, Frank Zukas -Schuylkill Economic Development Corporation Executive Director, and Mark Scarbinsky,-Director of Schuylkill County’s Office of Economic Development.
